RJ Model Ships Packaging Details
At RJ Model Ships we take pride in our museum quality model ships and model boats. It would be futile to take so much time and meticulous crafting to create these beautiful replicas if we were planning on packaging them poorly. That is why we take great consideration in packaging our products as meticulously as they are built.
- The entire hull, prow to stern, is carefully placed in snugly secured Styrofoam molding and secured with industrial strength plastic bands to ensure that the model ship is strongly fastened to the molding.
- The Model Ship is subsequently placed within a sturdy wooden frame to ensure that any of the delicate masts, booms, or ornaments are not hurt.
- The outer edges of the entire frame are then subjected to padding so that the frame itself is protected from shock through contact with the box.
- Once the rigorous packaging protocol is completed, the packaging is fully inspected, tested, and then re-tested for security and durability before being shipped.
- The box containing the model ship is properly labeled “this side up” and “fragile” to ensure proper handling.
- RJ Model Ships ships through FedEx because each product is moved by hand rather than most shipping companies that employ the use of a mechanical crane. This crane is known to damage and drop packages. FedEx professionals do not.
- We guarantee that over 99% of all packages will be delivered undamaged (some random error may occur, otherwise RJ Model Ships would guarantee 100%.)
